Used in Simplified Optical Ethernet solution to make distribution nodes passive and provide exclusive Gigabit/10G bandwidth for Fiber-to-The-Room (FTTR)
The Simplified Optical Ethernet solution adopts the Ethernet architecture. The transparent distribution device implements transparent transmission from the core network to access network. The network architecture transformation from three tiers to two tiers together with the colored optical Ethernet technology makes distribution nodes passive completely.
When the bandwidth is upgraded from 10 Gbps to 25 Gbps, the trunk cabling area does not need to be changed. Switches of different rates, combiners, and transparent distribution devices can be replaced or added based on service requirements. The devices are plug and play and supports fast onboarding and expansion.
